How do I pay?

Payment by Credit Card, Cash or Check. Privately owned Companies require a Credit Card on all move in and out referrals. The law provides for Sunny Maids Referral Agency to accept payments by check, cash or credit card to hold in a trust account on behalf of the privately owned registered housecleaning companies.

What is the cost?

Each privately owned company referred controls their own prices that typically range from a base hourly rate. There is usually a three (3) hr minimum charge. If you order a house cleaning business from our registry and you need the cleaning supplies, they can be provided by the cleaning professional referred and the price typically ranges from $15 for General Cleaning, $5 for a vacuum and $35 and up for move-in & out or specialty cleanings.

Who does the Small Business I hire work for?

Sunny Maids & More Referral Agency is not an employer; instead, we take pride in registering and referring local, private, owner-operated privately owned companies.

What tax responsibilities do I have?

Sunny Maids & More Referral Agency is a referral agency, not the employer of the privately owned professional small business companies we refer. Instead, we refer providers to you who privately own and operate their own company and are responsible for their own taxes & liability insurances. (See Consumer Protection Information). The agency files a 1099 tax report at the end of each year as required by law.

Consumer Protection Information

You may be interested to know that a consumer/homeowner could have tax responsibility if they hire a person who is not in business for themselves and who does not generally work in private homes (e.g., a neighbor). A tax responsibility could also arise as a result of the relationship they might have. If the consumer gives the privately owned licensed small business a job order this is an acceptable non-tax relationship, however, if the consumer directs and controls the manner and means by which the business owner performs their work, they could have employer responsibilities, including employment taxes and workers’ compensation, under state and federal law. Your responsibility is to give a job order, without having to explain how to do the job. A professional business owner should already know how to clean. Again, Sunny Maids & More Referral Agency only refers companies who privately own their business, pay their taxes & liability insurances and take responsibility for their business.
